Welcome to the Organic Food Corner
The Purpose Of This Site:
Our purpose in creating this site is to share with you life changing information that, if followed, can lead to a vibrant and healthy life. It is our goal to inspire you with thoughtful and intelligent pieces of information, as well as by giving you access to a wide variety of helpful resources.
What is organic food?
Organic food is food grown without using synthetic fertilizers, chemicals, pesticides, radiation, etc. Organic food is grown with methods that are safe for the environment, and some people even claim they taste better. If you want to know more about the benefits of organic food, feel free to start with one of our articles on the subject: Organic Food vs. Non-Organic, Which is better?
Who controls the standards for organic food?
In the United States, the USDA has a department which handles the details and specifics of organic food. They are in charge of determining whether food meets the standard of organic.
How can I tell the difference between organic food and conventional food?
The USDA determines whether food is organic or conventional and labels the food accordingly. If you see the organic food label packaged on the food, it is guaranteed to be at least 95% organic. If you want to know more, have a look at our article on Organic Food Labels.

Note: While we always do our best to provide honest and accurate information, none of the members of the OFC team (as of yet) are licensed doctors or veterinarians, etc. We encourage you to consult with those in the know before making any major health decisions.
